I would rather have Republicans present a clear difference between the way they act and the way the Democrats act. If they’re going to do the exact same thing that Dems do, then no one is going to vote for them since the citizens see no difference.

There’s also the fact that Wittman was complaining about the Omnibus Spending Bill because of the 8,000 earmarks that were contained in it, but he things his earmarks are great. Isn’t that the very definition of hypocrisy?

I am not a fan of earmarks, but the problem is not to stop earmarking, the problem is to ban the process.

Earmarks represent specifically directing money that has already been allocated in the budget. The money was given to agencies in a block format. If Congress does not specifically allocate the funds then the Obama administration will.

So, would you rather have Wittman or Obama dictate where the money goes???
