I’m not so much supporting Forgit as disgusted at Wittman.

I consider myself a Republican but I can’t stand Wittman. He’s everything that’s wrong with career politicians.

I have a simple question for anyone that supported his nomination campaign: What the hell has he ever done?

This dog won’t hunt. The handicapped access issue won’t stick to Whitman, so you had better come up with some positives for Forgit, rather than trying to smear Whitman.

I think the fact that Whitman was picked by the Religious Reich and is being marketed as a “moderate” may have some traction. Also, the fact that he voted to screw Virginia drivers with those “Abuser fees” should resonate. It is also important to note that Whitman ran for office as a State employee and did not relinquish his state job. Federal employees can’t get away with this because of the Hatch Act, but Virginia allows such shenanigans. When has Whitman held a real job? He has always been at the public trough.

Forgit has a great record and is in many ways like another Jim Webb, so he should appeal to a broad spectrum of conservative voters out there in bubbaville. It would help if another conservative, like Jost ran as an independent, but I think this District is win-able if Forgit really works to get his qualification out before the conservative voters.
